Alzheimer Society of Calgary and Indigo Signal Hill and Learn Picapix
The Alzheimer Society of Calgary, Indigo Signal Hill in Calgary, and myself are happy to announce our plans to hold a FUNdraiser, whereby we will be teaming up on the evening of Wednesday, June 22, to help raise funds for the Alzheimer Society. It will take place at the Indigo Signal Hill bookstore located at 5570 Signal Hill Centre S.W., Calgary, AB, during the hours of 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Please pop in this amazing bookstore during this time and be our guest at this wonderful event! When you show up, please visit the registration table to sign in and get a name tag. A portion of the book sales during the event will comprise the proceeds which will be delivered to the Alzheimer Society. Better yet, you can double-dip for the cause when you visit myself at the guest author table where I will be promoting my picapix puzzle books, with in-person tutorial and signings, and of course my promise to donate $1.00 for every book I sell.
With this gift to the Society, you will be making a direct, tangible and meaningful impact in three ways:
- Supporting local families by enabling the Society to respond to close to 1300 calls per year from people experiencing grief, anxiety, anger, loss and confusion.
- Providing insight and awareness for hundreds of local families who can access workshops and gain practical tools, support and information in order to cope.
- Giving respite care, also know as a breather for caregivers, and meaningful social and recreational activities for people living with dementia through the Club 36 Adult Day Program.
As per usual, my monthly newsletter has a link to a new challenging picapix puzzle, this one is the widest one so far: 16. Load of Logs. Please share this newsletter with others to make the above event a huge success! Thank you for all of your support.
Sincerely,
Diane Baher
