Are you feeling stuck or unable to proceed with new and creative ideas in your life or hobbies? Sometimes we feel like we are in a rut and just can’t move forward. As a puzzle creator, occasionally I feel like I am drawing blanks when it comes to finding inspiration for new puzzle ideas. I seem to have waves of creativity, where I have ups and downs with it. And as time goes on and our lives are busy, we can often lose touch with our creativity.
While researching this, I found an interesting article written by Jackie Johansen called “15 Easy Ways to Stimulate Your Right Brain”. Here are 15 simple ways to tap into our creativity: 1) Daydream. 2) Take more photos. 3) Eavesdrop. 4) Breath deeply. 5) Doodle. 6) Chew your food. 7) Create an inspiration list. 8) Write about not knowing what to write about. 9) Move. 10) Do something spontaneous. 11) Write down your dreams. 12) Notice color. 13) Set the intention. 14) Let books fall from the shelves. 15) Feel creative. This is definitely an interesting list of which I plan to try some of the suggestions, and I do recommend that you read the complete article.
The new challenging puzzle of the month for October is 13. Party Mask. Enjoy it and hopefully some of the above ideas will help you the next time you need a little inspiration.
