How many of us either gave one or received our own coloring book for adults this past Christmas?  They are certainly becoming very popular.  Here are some interesting stats on this coloring craze:  “According to a recent Fortune article, adult coloring books are one of the biggest contributors to this year’s boost in print-book sales.  With over 11,000 search results total, five of Amazon’s current top 15 best-selling books are coloring books.”  (Source of stats)  I too have jumped on this coloring band-wagon, but I’ll be honest with you, I still prefer coloring picapix puzzles as they provide more of a mental challenge.  How many of you enjoy using crayons to solve the picapix puzzles?  When I first discovered them, it was the coloring aspect that helped entice me to them.  The act of coloring has the soothing affect found in being creative.  The above source is a neuroscientist who goes on to explain more aspects of the allure of adult coloring books and having a creative lifestyle.  So with this in mind, let’s make 2016 a year for creative hobbies!
