Rewards of Summer

Picapix, Picnics and Pretty Plants

Hello everyone!  Are you enjoying your summer so far?  It looks like we are right smack-dab in the middle of it, so if you haven’t gone on that family picnic you’ve been talking about, or made that destination road trip, you should start acting on it now!  Summer is my favorite season of the year, and usually the perfect time to get out and do what you love to do and just enjoy life to it’s fullest.  For me it takes extra motivation to stay inside the office and do my work during this season, as my golf clubs and garden keep calling me out.  But I am happy to announce that I produced my first Kindle-version puzzle book recently.  It is for my latest “Pic-a-Pix Puzzles for Beginners” and can be ordered from Amazon.com for $2.99 USD.

Your challenging puzzle of the month might be something you can grow in your garden, but for most of us we would need to visit the market.  Enjoy this picapix puzzle called “Edible Flower Head“.

Sincerely.

In my June 26, 2015, newsletter which included the free puzzle called “Old Yellow”, I made a little boo boo when I uploaded the puzzle to my website.  Please accept my apologies and have another look.  This time you will see two pages, first page unsolved so you can print and solve, and second page with solution shown.  It is puzzle number 12.

Click here for link to “Old Yellow” and, again, I do apologize.  Enjoy the puzzle!

Sincerely,

Diane Baher

How to Play

Where do I start? Begin by choosing two color pencil crayons, erasable ones are best, and designate the darker shade for the puzzle picture. The lighter shade is basically going to be the background and is still very important to solving the puzzle. Starting with an empty grid, and numbers at the top of columns and left end of rows, you work your way through the puzzle by doing what is most logical or obvious, i.e. the biggest numbers.
